;) And wont melt down before seven years are up. I just hope this apple Itouch can with stand my "Super" strength for the next five years. So in result of of these two product malfunctioning at an early state, I stopped buy all sony and Palm PDA's.
The Palm lasted me only one year before the screen went totally black. well what can I say, I'm a strong women. I had a sony clie and a Palm a while back and both didn't last me very long.
I don't know my strength. Beware - Treat your sony clie and Palm like a porceline china. The sony clie lasted me two years before it had a total melt down.
Provided that I do had a tendance to wham a stylus down on the touch screen really hard.
pity. I have had my unit for a few years, and I like it in many ways, but it has a bad habit of letting me down:- With the flip top, in my purse, the application/power switches can be depressed and it apparently powers on. This runs down the batteries, and- All memory is lost.I've taken to using the Palm calendar and directory in my laptop and not the PDA.
I have lost all my info on more than one occasion because of not charging it. So as long as you have a brain and have a computer to back your info up onto, this will work great for you. I have had this PDA for over 4 years now, and I have very little complaints. But it comes with great Sync software and everything gets put right back on it with one click of a button, so no big deal. And the price is right. It is an older PDA, but I mostly use it for contacts, minor notekeeping, calender and date keeping and calculator. Nothing special, but it makes my life easier and it works great for what I need it for.
I'm sorry I bought this product - it does not have the capability to retain your info when the battery runs low - I actually have had to reput my info in every time my battery ran low and I didn't catch it in time - my charger cords does not stay attached to the device properly - it's just a mess - I still have to repurchase another organizer.
This does have it, but it uses too much memory. The color screen displays pictures via PG Pocket well. The SonyStyle.com website offers other, more up to date versions. This works very well for basic organizational needs: address book, calendar, etc. It seems the technology at this point is moving towards PDAs combined with phones or Pocket PCs / GPS combined with bluetooth, cameras, and as many other items as you can fit on it. I have many other books on another memory stick.
This does work well with e-books. After that, I found that the Sony Clie is no longer available in this country through conventional stores (although, is available online, obviously). I purchased mine years ago from Circuit City. I loaded several from the Franklin website onto the memory stick that fits into the handheld. This is a very simple handheld.
Go with a pocket PC if you are interested in word / data files. It does not have it's own camera. I also have a Dictionary, Thesaurus, and World History on the memory stick. I ended up deleting those features so that I would have the memory for other functions. In that way I can have an English-Spanish Spanish-English dictionary at my fingertips.
